ANNE  ENCOURAGES STUDENTS ' CREATIVITY, INSTRUCTING IN A VARIETY OF MEDIUMS,

  FOCUSING ON  FAMOUS ARTISTS' WORKS AND USE OF DISCARDED MATERIALS.

Workshops meet four to six times,

usually once a week, for one hour to one and a half hours.

Working for "Arts Partners" artists Anne Moore and Susan Walker directed this sculpture project with third graders at Mueller Elementary School, Wichita, Kansas.  Louise Nevelson's famous sculptures of discarded objects were inspiration.  "Arts Partners" is a non-profit arts-in-education organization that links public and private schools with artists.

Working the fifth grade students of OK Elementary School,
Wichita, KS, and the grant, "Interactive Sculpture Project," Anne created a bas-relief sculpture of various aircraft instrument panels using discarded steel and mat board. It is permanently displayed at the school.

ANNE PRESENTED A WORKSHOP AT  BROOKS MIDDLE SCHOOL, WICHITA, KS, WHERE STUDENTS CREATED THIS COLORFUL COMPOSITE WORK.

Since 2005 periodically Anne has conducted childrens art workshops at the local McDonald's Restaurant, Independence, KS.  She has created an art gallery wall there where some of her students' artwork is exhibited.  Exhibits change every few months.

Exhibited May to July 2008 -  St. Andrew's School 7th and 8th graders
cowboy/cowgirl boot designs.
Some students used a template.

COLLAGE  WORKSHOPS

EXPERIMENTING WITH COLORED PAPERS, CARDBOARD, FABRIC, PAINT, INK, COLORED PENCIL , AND OTHER MEDIUMS, STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT  THE ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN, COMPOSITION, RECYCLING, AND FAMOUS ARTISTS' WORK.

SCULPTURE AND ASSEMBLAGE WORKSHOPS


THIS IS CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING FUN, USING DISCARDED COMMERCIALLY PRODUCE MATERIALS AND RECYCLING ELEMENTS FROM NATURE TO CREATE VISUALLY INTERESTING SCULPTURE AND ASSEMBLAGES.

*FEES FOR WORKSHOPS:

 4 workshops - 1 Hour each ( minimum four students, maximum 8 students) - $120.  All materials included
